Located on the corner of Lune Street in the heart of Preston city centre, The Assembly, formerly known as The Corn Exchange, was the front of Preston public hall for many years. The building was granted listed status shortly after its closure at the end of the 1972 Preston Guild celebrations.

The statue outside the building commemorates the scene of an ugly demonstration that took place at 10am on Saturday August 13, 1842, when five of the striking cotton workers were killed by soldiers.

The Assembly is a hybrid venue operating over 2 floors, serving up great food by day and an amazing party atmosphere by night. The Assembly also caters for private functions and numerous other events.

We are located just 5 minutes walk from both Preston Bus Station and the railway station, so have excellent access to local amenities. With hotels and shopping nearby you don’t need to look any further for a place to start or finish your day or night.

We offer an inviting environment by day, serving good food in a relaxed atmosphere. By night it becomes one huge party with DJ’s playing everything from 60’s classics through to modern day mixes that will make your night go in a flash. We offer an unrivalled party atmosphere, from Student Nights to good old weekend parties we will not be beaten.

When the warm weather arrives The Assembly boasts excellent outside areas with lots of seating at both the front and the back of the building. With external TV’s as well there is no need to miss out on either the sunny weather or your favourite sporting event.

The Assembly has numerous screens showing LIVE sport and is a strong supporter of our local football team. Boasting a superb atmosphere throughout all sporting events we pride ourselves at being the best. The Tattershall Castle is one of London's unique Bars based on a 1930s paddle steamer moored permanently on the Thames in central London. Arguably one of the best locations in London, from both deck and down below you can see panoramic views of London from the river Thames.

The Sun Deck which was refurbished in October 2008 has two bars and has plenty of seating. In the summer make sure you get down early to bag a seat.

Downstairs is a bar at water level with ceiling to floor windows directly opposite the London Eye and County Hall.
During the week it is a great place to eat, drink and be merry and at the weekend you can experience comedy or dancing in their night club.

There are plenty of spaces available for private hire including the bridge (holds 50 people.
